Arbyrnth

I have had the privilege of photographing Arbryth many times over the years. Not only incredible musicians, but lovely genuine people. This shoot was in a breathtaking Californian Redwood Forest, a perfect location for a 'Forest Metal' band. Their latest album will feature this artwork & is due for release by the end of 2011.

Travels - Japan Edition

Japan
is more beautiful, more bustling, more crowded, more serene that I could ever image.

freshly grated wasabi root, fresh sashimi, neon lights tokyo style extending for unfathomable distances, heartbreaking jizo statues, freezing waters, impossible smells, theologically debates in outdoor onsens amongst the snow, the impossible glimpse of madam fuji in the morning sunlight, hot sake, freezing evenings, silent temples, lonely walks through dizzying skyscrapers, crowds, crowds, tea plantations amongst calligraphy inspiring mountains, blisters on fingers from back alley archery lessons- complete with ancient married couple chain-smoking next to targets, johnny cash at burger joints, crying alone at the Hiroshima museum, letters to the world powers, smoking cinnamon ciggerates speaking broken english to chilean workers at japanese rock & roll bars, finding grattiti referencing australians, theological debates with american marines in Hiroshima R&B club about the approprioteness of wearing your uniform on atomic remembrance day, hung over in peace park, sunset over the atomic bomb dome, my birthday in a karaoke bar, wigs in photobooths, blisters on fingers from arcade drum machines, cherry blossoms, lack of cherry blossoms, Harajuku girls, Harajuku boys, tattoo guns, lost in translation locations, rockabilly boys, chaos, serenity....
